Meauxmentum Continues as Melancon Posts Top Fundraising Quarter in the Country among Democratic Incumbents

In an article in today's Roll Call, Representative Charlie Melancon (D-Louisiana) was given the distinction of top Democratic incumbent fundraiser in the country for the most recent reporting period, which ended June 30th.

According to Roll Call, "…[Congresswoman Melissa] Bean was not the top fundraiser among Democratic incumbents for the quarter. That distinction went to Rep. Charlie Melancon (D-La.), who raised $680,000. Melancon had more than $1.6 million in the bank as of June 30, while Romero had $959,000."

The Melancon re-election momentum continues to build upon its fundraising edge and 37 point poll lead over the announced challenger.
