Coastal Restoration

MELANCON'S MESSAGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Charlie Melancon has seen the problems of coastal erosion up close and personal over the years. Like so many who live in South Louisiana, he has watched land slowly disappear underwater and the property and homes of our neighbors sink lower every year. He has also seen the lack of results on funding for coastal erosion. He will work tirelessly to make sure that the problems of coastal erosion in the 3rd District and Louisiana are addressed in Washington.

CHARLIE MELANCON -- "It's not fair that billions are being wasted on pork projects in others states like California and New York while we are desperately lacking new funds for roads, community health care, and coastal erosion. The last budget spent millions on a rainforest in Iowa and a cowgirl hall of fame but not one penny for coastal erosion."
