Charlie needs your
vote on November 7th! Election Day
is fast approaching and Charlie needs your vote. Below is information on how to register to vote,
vote at your normal polling location, vote early, vote if you are temporarily
displaced, and vote absentee. If you have

Register to Vote If you have recently moved to the area or have never voted in Louisiana’s third congressional
district, we encourage you register to vote so you can participate in the democratic
process and help elect Charlie! You must
be registered by October 9th to vote in this November’s election. You can register to vote three different ways: register at your parish’s elections office in
person during normal business hours, mail the voter registration form to the Secretary
of State, or register at the Department of Motor Vehicles where you get y our

Vote at Your Normal Polling Location If you are already registered to vote, go to your regular polling
place on November 7th to cast your vote for Charlie Melancon.
If you are unsure of the exact voting location, visit: Find

or call your local parish elections office to ask where you should vote.

for the list of parish election offices. (see below) Early Voting If you think you might not be able to make it to the polls on Election
Day, you can now vote early – for whatever reason. To find your early voting location, call your local parish election
office using the phone numbers found here. (See below) Early voting will take
place Oct. 26-31st., 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Monday through Friday and 8:30 AM - Noon
on Saturdays.
Vote if You Are Temporarily Displaced If you are temporarily living outside of your regular home due
to the hurricanes and you have not registered to vote where you are now living,
you can still vote under your old address for the November 7th election.
Please see the three options below.
- If you are still living near
your old home, you can vote at your regular polling location on Election Day.

- You can use the new Early Voting
system mentioned above and visit your parish’s Early Voting location between October
26th and October 31st.
- If you will be out of the area
on election day, you can vote using a special
absentee ballot system put in place for those affected by the storms.
To use the special absentee ballot system for
displaced voters, just click the links below, print and fill out each form,
and mail them to your parish election’s office. To

Vote Absentee If you were not displaced by the hurricanes but are still not able
to get to the polls on Election Day, you can request an absentee ballot by mail.
To vote by regular absentee ballot you must meet at least ONE of the following
conditions:
- Be on a business or personal
trip outside the parish on Election Day AND during the special early voting dates
of Oct. 26 – Oct. 31, when you could otherwise vote in person.
- Be in the hospital on Election
Day if you did not know you would be in the hospital until after Oct. 31.
- Be a member of the military or
the wife or child of a member of the armed forces who will not be in town on Election
Day.
- Be a student at a college or university located outside the parish
who will not be in town on Election Day.
- Be out on the water working and
unable to get to the polls on Election Day or during the special Early Voting
period.
- Be a member of the clergy who
is temporarily assigned to a location outside your home parish and you will not
be in town on Election Day.
- Be on a jury where you are sequestered
and you cannot get to the polls on Election Day (for additional conditions, visit:
